Sister of Honua… Regina Cuma Chavez
To all women warriors
of light, I am Ixq’uq’. In my maternal language my name means
‘quetzal’ and freedom. I am Regina Cuma Chavez, born from a town
created by nature on a portion of mother earth. My town is called
Junajpu, which means ‘unity of the sun, the king sun, or
grandfather sun’. I live at the foot of the volcano of water, Junajpu
Santa Maria de Jesus, a beautiful volcano of water, a great guardian, a
friend and a faithful brother that holds us with such tenderness each
day.
